A strategic approach

All our experience with client organisations has shown that employers who want to make a real difference in this area need to address maternity management (and wider support for parents) at three levels: the organisation, the managers, the individuals.

Our Integrated Maternity Management Strategy Model provides a framework for a mini audit of organisational performance at these levels. Existing policies and practice are rated and and possible solutions identified to fill the gaps.

The Strategy Model forms the backbone of our HR & Diversity Teams Masterclass, which has recently proved popular with clients from global law firms to growing PR consultancies. To find out more about using this approach and to arrange a meeting to explore it, please get in touch.

Our Strategy Model was also welcomed by delegates at our strategic partner, AXA ICAS, recent Managing Diversity Differently events held in London and Manchester.

Managing Maternity directors presented our integrated maternity management strategy framework. HR and Diversity managers from organisations in banking, financial & professional services, the entertainment and leisure industry, manufacturing and several public sector organisations commented that the model helped them identify what they are already doing well and find new solutions. Some saw they could do more to support managers; several recognised there could be more support for women on their return to work after maternity leave; all found they were able to take forward practical ideas.
